We are pleased to introduce the key personnel within the central team. Their core purpose is to secure strong schools within the trust that serve and advocate for their local communities.
Helen Wyn Joyce
As CEO of Keystone Academy Trust, Helen leads with a strong commitment to inclusive education, ensuring that every child feels safe, supported, and able to thrive. She oversees strategic leadership across the trust, working closely with school leaders, and central teams to uphold high standards in both academic and pastoral provision. Helen plays an active role in monitoring the experiences and opportunities offered to children and staff, challenging and championing in equal measures. Helen’s leadership is rooted in collaboration, clarity, and a deep belief in the potential of every learner, child and adult.
James McCullough
James plays a pivotal role in supporting Helen to deliver the trust’s strategic vision and uphold its values whilst working in partnership with our strategic partners, for example, the Diocese of Lincoln and Lincolnshire ITT. He mentors those new to school leadership or new to Keystone, drawing on his vast experience as a headteacher himself. With a responsibility for safeguarding and attendance, James facilitates termly networks for Designated Safeguarding Leads and monitors attendance trends to support pupil welfare.
Samantha Taylor
Sam leads the trust’s financial strategy, compliance, and operations. She leads a centralised finance team who support trust-wide efficiency. Her role includes regular budgetary discussions with school leaders, forecasting, and ensuring financial processes align with school improvement goals. Sam also focuses on value for money and securing funding to support the trust’s continued growth. When joining Keystone Academy Trust, Sam supports the due diligence process, providing timely and accurate information to the board.
Paul Singleton
Rooted firmly in pupil experiences, Paul leads school improvement across Keystone Academy Trust, overseeing curriculum development, assessment strategy and pupil outcomes. He supports leaders at all levels – from curriculum leaders to headteachers. Paul leads trust-wide initiatives that focus on pedagogical approaches. He also manages statutory moderation for KS1 and KS2 across Lincolnshire on behalf of the Local Authority, making him the ‘go-to’ person in assessment in Lincolnshire and beyond.
Tracey Roscher
Tracey is Chief Operations Manager here at Keystone Academy Trust. Together with her team, Tracey is the ‘one-stop-shop’ for school leaders on matters relating to HR, IT, estates, procurement, and compliance. She is the confidante that school leaders need on such matters, applying her knowledge and experience and ability to problem solve so that school leaders may remain focused on their primary aim – school improvement. Her work ensures operational systems are efficient and scalable to support the trust’s growth.
Denise Parker
Denise leads the strategic development and oversight of SEND provision across the trust, ensuring inclusive practices and high-quality support for pupils with additional needs. She works closely with SENDCos and school leaders to embed effective systems, monitor impact, and drive continuous improvement. In her Early Careers remit, Denise supports the recruitment, training, and development of early career teachers, including ECTs and trainees.
Gill Arnold
Gill is the glue that holds Keystone together! Gill plays a key role in governance and leadership coordination across the trust. She organises and facilitates key meetings such as the Chairs Meeting and Clerks Network, ensuring effective communication and strategic alignment. Gill supports trust-wide operations by managing documentation, correspondence, and follow-up actions that underpin strong governance. Her work helps maintain clarity, consistency, and collaboration across leadership teams.
